Census

Why we have a Census?

The Census happens every ten years and is a survey of the whole population. The last Census of England and Wales was held on 21st March 2021.  It captures a breadth of information which can be used to help target resources more efficiently and inform policy-making.

The results of the 2021 Census are being released from June 2022 until 2023, and relevant information about Nottinghamshire will be updated as it is available.

For more information about the Census please visit the Office of National Statistics website

A build your own custom profile tool is available from the ONS. Either type in a postcode or area or draw an area on the map to bring up the latest census data.

An ONS comparison tool by local authority to see how an area has changed between 2011 and 2021 is also available.
