The Forum holds four meetings a year and members represent Nottingham at local and national events and attend site meetings when required. The NLAF have a number of sub groups covering planning applications and development and how this may affect or improve public access, a walking sub group who are developing a series of self-guided walk leaflets and one covering the Definitive Map, the legal record of public rights of way in Nottingham. Additionally, the Forum responds to national consultations and advises the Council and other relevant bodies on public rights of way and public access.
